Oh? It would make a good play, I think. But with music! There must be music, for the Phantom is a great composer.
(Clearly, she was way into this story. She moved her head with his finger, gazing up into his eyes. Well, if they were...like this, she knew what was to be expected. Leaning up, she pressed a feather-light kiss to his lips.)
Mmm. Nothing. Nothing at all. Forgot what I was going to say.
(He pulled her close and kissed her firmly on the lips, on purpose this time. God, she felt good in his arms. He'd asked her more about that story later, but now was not the time.)
(She was glad to do so. Her hands gripped his arms as they kissed, gently sliding up to his shoulders. If only her past self had known that one day her Monsieur Marius would be kissing her this way. Eponine wondered if that would have changed things.)
(He seemed to catch a fleeting sadness in her mood and thought he might be able to guess why. It made him sad to think about the past, and he wondered whether she was having second thoughts about him.
He deepened the kiss, trying to convince her of the sincerity of his feeling. He would not try to hold her if she changed her mind - he wanted her to be happy above all else - but he hoped she could find that happiness with him.)
(Her arms moved to wrap around his neck, keeping him close. Let it never be said that Eponine wasn't rather possessive. Her mind seemed to have shut off, and she was now being driven by pure emotion. His lips on hers felt so...right, in a way. She liked it very, very much.
She moved closer to him, wishing to be held a little more. No one had ever done this to her before, and it felt so nice...but, finally she had to break away for air. Smiling up at him, she snuggled into his side, determined to get as close as possible.
Her gaze was drawn to the window, where it had started raining outside. She shivered.)
(He drew the afghan from the back of the sofa and wrapped it around her shoulders. He was trying not to think of the times she'd had to sleep in all weathers, unprotected.
He wanted to keep her safe and close and...
...and, dear God, what was THAT memory? Had that actually...? He couldn't bear it. He held her as tightly as he could and buried his head in her shoulder. He couldn't speak.)
(Glad for the afghan, she drew it a little closer, gladly using it's warmth for comfort. It was very soft and thick, just what Eponine liked. Her own comforter and blankets at home had been chosen for just that purpose.)
Marius?
(What was wrong? Why was he acting this way, she'd only said the rain made her nervous? She'd always just thought that was because she'd had to sleep in it before. Softly, she brushed her fingers through his soft, dark curls, kissing the side of his head.)
Don't- (She cut herself off. Tried again.) Don not worry, Marius. It's only rain, chèri, it can't hurt us."
(The endearment slipped out before she could stop it. Oh well.)
(He only shook his head, keeping it pressed into her shoulder, not letting go of her.)
It's - (His voice broke a bit. He tried again.) I don't want you to go out in the rain. Please?
(He leaned his head into her hand, loving both the feel of her fingers threading through his hair and the sound of the endearment on her lips. But the sorrow would not leave entirely.)
(He snuggled up to her under the afghan, rearranging his position so that he could hold her again after she adjusted it.)
Ah...(he cleared his threat twice) nothing. Honestly. Those memories of the past we were discussing last night sometimes choose inopportune times to resurface.
I'm glad you want to stay here out of the rain. I like you being here. Quite a lot.
(It was wonderfully warm under the afghan, with both of them providing heat. Eponine took the opportunity to cuddle against his chest, enjoying the feeling of his arms around her.)
Are you certain? (She tucked her head under his chin, nuzzling into his neck. While she wanted to ask what he was remembering, she decided against it. It might make Marius upset again.)
I like being here, Marius. (She kissed his cheek. Her eyes wandered to the window again, watching the rain outside. How long had it been since she'd watched the rain without getting soaked herself?)
(He was beginning to settle down. He wasn't going to tell her exactly what had upset him in case that part of her memory hadn't come back. He was still clinging to the hope that it was some sort of false memory. Everything was so confusing...except for Eponine.)
(He kissed her forehead, then placed a kiss on each eyelid. Then her nose, while smiling a tiny bit. Just reassuring himself that she was here and safe.)
I'm certain. It's passing off now. I'm sorry for upsetting you.
I feel like I'm being a poor host. Are you hungry, would you like to watch a film? I ought to have planned something.
(He ran his hand lightly up and down her arm, wanting to make sure she was warm enough.)
(Snuggled tightly against Marius, Eponine couldn't think of a time she had been happier.)
Anything is fine. (She isn't a picky eater. So long as the food is mostly edible, she'll eat it. Experience has done that to her. She looked up at him and smiled.)
Is there anything you would like? I've been trying to learn how to cook by myself. (She doubts anything she makes will be edible, but might as well offer.)
(He kisses to top of her head, hating to leave her even for a short while.)
((OOC: should we summarize the rest of this or do you want to keep RPing it out? I feel badly that we haven't been able to get beyond their second date and they haven't been interacting in RP realtime.))

Date: 2012-07-08 01:48 am (UTC)Now, that's silly, Marius. Why would I go out in the rain where it's cold and wet? I would rather stay warm and dry...and with you.
(Slipping the afghan from her shoulders a little, she wrapped it around both of them, kissing the top of his head.)
What is wrong? What is the matter?

(Well, Eponine was never one to turn down food when it was offered to her.) A bit. If you have anything, that is, I don't mind if you do not.
It does not matter. (She let her head rest on his chest, listening to the soft sound of his heartbeat.) Whatever you like.

Or we could order out. Is there anything you're in the mood for?
(He closed his eyes, enjoying the feel of her against him. He really wanted her to look up at him again. He'd seen that shadow flit across her face.)
